Now on view through October 6th, “Amitiés, Bonnard-Matisse” at Fondation Marguerite et Aimé Maeght focuses on the friendship and artistic dialogue between French masters Pierre Bonnard and Henri Matisse.

The exhibition is organized around several themes relevant to the celebrated artists’ oeuvres, featuring rarely exhibited works and documents. It explores the specificities of the two masters and their work, as well as the particularities of their approaches to the same subjects: self-portraits, the street, and the relationship between the painter and his model.
